Design Directions
Everyone loves those 6 sauces their sandwich. However, due to the size of the bottle, relatively high price, and short shelf-life; consumers often ended up purchasing fewer variants at a time. The Idea was to give consumers more for less.
Concept Sketch
I started with exploring packing geometries and calculating volume and dimensions. The goal was to store 4-6 bottles, having lesser quantity, as well as use less space in the refrigerator.
Sliduo
This concept works around the connector/slider mechanism, it consists of wedge-shaped Tube and a lid with a Slit. Two such tubes combine to form a single unit, the crimp of one tube slides into the slot on the lid of the other tube. Resulting in a single cuboidal unit for 2 tubes.
Cap Mechanism
The cap has a slot across one edge for the crimp of the other tube to slide through. The slot is angular and Narrow at the top for a snug fit. The crimp of one tube slides into the slot on the cap of the other tube. Resulting in a single cuboidal unit for 2 tubes.
Technical Drawing
This concept works around the connector/slider mechanism, it consists of wedge shaped Tube and a cap with a Slot. Two tubes combine to form a single self organising unit, that takes up less space in your fridge!
Label Design
The layout for the label has been done in such a way that the most crucial & frequently required information remains Readable regardless of the orientation of the Tube.
This project was featured in the packaging of the world in April 2020.
It also received the Association of Designer India (ADI) award in February 2021
