I. Welsey Sound Box

Retro, modern, into the future.

The goal was to keep the looks futuristic, but something that wasn't a total departure from the past. Inspired from less is more, there is use of clean, clearly defined lines with softness brought by the colour. Using Natural materials Wood and Leather kept the style simple and classic.

MDF, Jute Mesh, Leather, and Speaker Kit

It took some tries to understand what types of wood give the best sound output. For best Audio Acoustics dense wood work best so I decided to stick with Medium Density Fibreboard. The Design was first visualised on CAD, then its was laser cut and finally assembled.

II. No Joints, No Bolts

Tensegrity Stool

Using the concept of Tensional Integrity the goal was to design a seat or stool that can be carried by backpackers, forest campers, and high-intensity labor workers to field. The compression elements, i.e. rods, do not touch each other & are pre-stressed by the tension element i.e., rope.

Bamboo, Rope, Cloth and nothing else

The concept is a simple dismantleable stool that uses light materials. Bamboo is a light and also Strong material, which is why it is perfect for the tensegrity construction.

III. Jaipuri Night

I had made a block printed fabric in a school workshop in 2014. During the first lockdown ~ 6 years later, I decided to create something out of the fabric. I used basic supplies, some wood for structural support and built this lamp in under 3 hours
